Notice:  The Board of Selectmen will be meeting at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018 at Shapleigh Town Hall for a workshop regarding candidate's night.

Voting - Municipal Election Friday - March 9, 2018 Absentee Ballots Available - Requests for a mailed ballot may be made by telephone or in writing by the voter or immediate family member by TUESDAY, March 6, 2018 - Unless the voter completes a "special circumstances" application.  Town Clerk's Office, Town of Shapleigh, PO Box 26, Shapleigh, Maine 04076 Phone:  207-636-2844 ext 413 or 415.  The polls will be open Friday, March 9th from 8AM - 8PM at the Shapleigh Town Hall 22, Back Road.  Annual Town Meeting will be Saturday, March 10, 2018 10 AM Shapleigh Memorial School.

Shapleigh Dog Owners - Dog licenses are currently due.  Maine State Law requires each owner/keeper of a dog(s) at the age of 6 months or over be licensed in the Municipal Clerk's office in the Town where the dog is kept.  On-line service available at www.doglicensing.com  A $25.00 late fee will be applied after January 31, 2018.  Please provide proof of current rabies vaccination.  Information/questions please call 207-636-2844 ext 413 or 415.

Fire permits - Effective immediately fire permits for the Town of Shapleigh may be issued Monday - Friday 9 am - 6 pm at the Public Safety Building, 506 Shapleigh Corner Road, Shapleigh - phone 207-636-2211.  Personnel will be available to issue permits if they are not on an emergency call.  Saturday - Sunday - you may contact the Fire Warden Steve Fiske @ 207-636-1553 or the Fire Chief, Duane Romano @ 207-636-1262 if interested in obtaining a fire permit.

Free Community Meals - Every Monday and Wednesday evenings, freshly-prepared, nutritious meals in our multi-purpose room at Curtis Lake Church, 5 PM, 38 Westview Drive, Sanford, behind Ocean State Job Lots.  Doors open at 4:45 pm.  All are welcomed to attend.
