The Board of Selectmen will hold an Executive Session on Monday, November 20, 2017 beginning at 6:00 pm pursuant to 1 MRSA 495 (6)A - Personnel Matter.
Nomination Papers will be available Wednesday, November 29, 2017 for the March 9, 2018 Municipal Election. Papers are available through the Town Clerk's office during regular business hours and must be filed by Tuesday, January 9, 2018 by 4:00 pm. Positions available in March 2018 are: Selectman 3 year term; Town Clerk/Tax Collector 3 year term; RSU 57 Director (2 Positions) 1 year term and a 3 year term; Shapleigh Community Library (2) positions for a 3 year term; Shapleigh Community Forest 3 year term and Budget Committee member 5 year term.
Fire permits - Effective immediately fire permits for the Town of Shapleigh may be issued Monday - Friday 9 am - 6 pm at the Public Safety Building, 506 Shapleigh Corner Road, Shapleigh - phone 207-636-2211. Personnel will be available to issue permits if they are not on an emergency call. Saturday - Sunday - you may contact the Fire Warden Steve Fiske @ 207-636-1553 or the Fire Chief, Duane Romano @ 207-636-1262 if interested in obtaining a fire permit.
