The Shapleigh Fire Department is a volunteer department of the Town.
Active members are paid a small stipend reimbursement based on a "point" system
and are eligible for an annual retention bonus if all the criteria are met throughout the year.
Mission Statement:
The Shapleigh Fire Department will provide emergency response to any and all fire related and
technical rescue emergencies. Whenever we are called on, we will be there. When other
communities are in need, we will respond. We will be ever vigilant at all times. We will always
maintain a high degree of professionalism. Through teamwork and dedication, compassion, and
education, we will evolve and maintain a pinnacle position in the field of public safety.
