3. Rules and Regulations of the Shapleigh Fire Department - Questions
William J. Mageary asked Fire Chief Steve Guillemette some questions about the Rules and Regulations of the Shapleigh Fire Department. William J. Mageary asked what the membership committee was compiled of and Steve Guillemette replied that it is all of the department. A concern that William J. Mageary has was the wording of membership requirements, the previous rules had stated that the member must participate in 1/4 of the emergency calls and the final approved version stated a "portion" of the emergency calls. Fire Chief Steve Guillemette responded with it should had been worded 1/4 of the calls. Town Administrator will further review. The discussion was put on hold until next week's meeting.

4. Rescue Ambulance Bid Discussion

Assistant Chief Jeff LeDuc had made a recommendation to the Board of Selectmen regarding the bids, the

recommendation was to accept the bid from Sugarloaf. Sugarloaf's bid was for $225,211.00 with a $10,000.00 trade in (but was originally quoted $15,000.00 for the trade in.) The Board of Selectmen recommended that we get the original quoted amount of $15,000.00, The Town Administrator will contact Pete Stuart at Sugarloaf to request that we receive the $15,000.00 trade in with no other changes to the bid. With the trade in at $15,000.00 the total bid of the new Rescue Ambulance would be for $210,112.00. William J. Mageary had asked if Sugarloaf's bid was with heavy duty suspension coils or if it was air springs, Assistant Chief Lebuc stated that it was liquid springs. William J. Mageary asked what was available for funds, as of 12/09/2020 there was $206,796.00; the Town Administrator will follow-up with the Town Treasurer to obtain the current amount available. Scott E. Cudworth asked if this bid included a new Stryker (Stretcher)? Assistant Chief LeDuc stated that it was not included and the Stryker in the Ambulance now is interchangeable and would be moved over to the new ambulance. Will discuss further at the next meeting.

New Business:

A. Fire Hydrants

Who is responsible to plow out the Fire Hydrants? William J. Mageary, Scott E. Cudworth and Fire Chief Steve Guillemette all stated that it is the Road Commissioners responsibility to plow around the fire hydrants. The Town Administrator will reach out to the Road Commissioners.

B. Stop Sign and Graffiti on the road
The Board of Selectmen discussed the stop sign that is down and the graffiti on the road at the corner of Town Farm Road and Square Pond Road. The Town Administrator will contact Road Commissioner John Burnell to fix the stop sign and spray paint over the graffiti.

C. Transfer Station Price List
William J. Mageary made a motion to increase the price of mattress's on the Transfer Station price list to $15.00 and have them reprinted due to the fact that it cost the Town $15.00 to dispose of them, yet the Town is only charges $5.00, there was no seconded so the motion failed.

D. O'Donnell's

William J. Mageary asked if we were in track with assessing being processed with O'Donnell's? Response was yes. This was mentioned because an invoice was being processed for payment tonight. Our O'Donnell's representative was in a serious car accident but O'Donnell's has assigned another employee to the Shapleigh Assessing.
