We have reached capacity in our brush pile at the Transfer Station and
due to high fire danger the pile cannot be burned at this time.

NO BRUSH WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

 

All proceeds from the Acton-Shapleigh Lions Club fundraisers benefit  the community in various ways. 
For example, the Club has contributed to the Shapleigh Community Day Scholarship, Shapleigh Heating Assistance Fund,
supported various activities of the Recreation Department, as well as direct donations to citizens who have experienced loss
of home due to fire, extensive medical bills due to serious illness, etc.

The Town of Shapleigh has immediate openings for Transfer Station 
Attendants to fill in as needed for employees who work at the lower level
recycling area when they have unplanned absences or vacation time scheduled.
Ideal candidates will be able to lift  up to 50 lbs, have a flexible schedule and
must be able and willing to work the days the Transfer Station is open.
Though shelter is provided for getting a break from the 
elements, a majority of this work is outside in various types of weather.
