Shapleigh Fire Department
The Shapleigh Fire Department, located at 506 Shapleigh Corner Road, currently has 27 members; among them are Fire Chief Duane Romano, Assistant Fire Chief David Boyd, Deputy Chief Kevin Romano, Captain Natasha Kinney and Captain Rob Dobson. The Department was established in 1958. The goal of the Shapleigh Fire Department is to strive towards protecting the lives and possessions of all Shapleigh property owners.
In 2009 the Shapleigh Fire Department responded to over 140 calls in our Town and also assisted in mutual aid in the surrounding communities.
The Shapleigh Fire Department is always looking for volunteers. Positions vary from directing traffic to receiving the highest levels of Firefighter training. The Shapleigh Fire Department provides services from Fire Suppression to Technical Rescue to Public Assists. SHAPLEIGH FIRE NEWS
The Shapleigh Fire Department entered a firefighters muster in Wakefield NH. on Saturday August 21, 2010. We entered 2 teams into the muster, Shapleigh Team 1 - Deputy Chief K. Romano, Captain Dobson, Firefighter C. Romano, Firefighter K. Smith, Shapleigh Team 2 - Firefighter Conner, Firefighter Reed. We placed 3rd overall in the event.
We also entered the EMS muster as well as Shapleigh Rescue, we had 2 teams Shapleigh 1 - EMT-I K.Romano, EMT-B Dobson, Shapleigh Team 2 - EMT-I C. Romano, EMT-B Smith. we placed 3rd overall in the event

The Shapleigh Fire Department will be entering the Firefighters Muster at the Fryberg fair this year. More info to follow
The Shapleigh Fire Department is looking to host Community Education Classes at the public safety building. Classes ranging from CPR/First aid to home safety. please check the FREE public education link for more information.
